Record Name Happy lucky cows. This is why Wensleydale Cheese is so good!
Record Description This fine herd of cows was seen and photographed from Flout Moor Lane during a walk to the burnt mounds at Haw Beck Springs. I am informed that few dairy herds survive in the Lake District as the farmers have been informed that they produce insufficient milk to justify the costs of collection. This herd survives to supply milk for Wensleydale Cheese which must be made from Wensleydale Herds.
